Our Engineering Team is seeking a hybrid

Software Project Engineer, Applications.

You would be responsible for leading the definition, design, and development of intuitive graphical user interfaces and networking applications for TrellisWare's wireless communication products, using today's modern software frameworks and technologies. Enhancing cohesiveness and maintaining team morale is a responsibility of all our team members, as is the ambition for self-improvement and talent development. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Working with stakeholders at all levels capturing user application product and verification requirements, defining delivery execution strategies/schedules, and developing risk mitigation plans.Leading application architecture definition/documentation, ensuring a consistent user experience and variant segmentation across the suite of TrellisWare tactical communication applications.Collaborating with UX Design when developing intuitive visualization techniques for PC desktop, web, and mobile user interactions.Documenting and presenting design alternatives using good personal practices and corporate defined engineering processes.Developing relationships with team members built on trust and respect.

Education and work experience requirements are:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.Minimum of five years industry experience developing user interface applications and three years of technical leadership.Experience managing and implementing contemporary user interface solutions.

Strong technical leadership and project execution management skills required.Working well independently and within a team environment is required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.Proficiency in at least one of the following domains required:JavaScript/React, Express, Electron (highly desired)Windows .NET and WPF environmentsiPhone and/or Android user interface designA working knowledge of common revision control systems is required.Strong artistic and creative ability is essential.The ability to think from a user's perspective is essential.An understanding of web-based services and IP networking is desired.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is: $115,000-165,000 annually.
