POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a culture-creating, biddable media whiz who is motivated by delivering great client work and mentoring young digital talent. This candidate will be the teacher, leader, mentor, and cheerleader for a team of emerging experts; planning and buying in programmatic, paid social & paid search. They should have the breadth of experience necessary to save the team time and nip small issues in the bud, while still staying hungry for personal growth and development. Sure, we’re looking for a candidate who will knock the performance out of the park but we’re also looking for plain ‘ole good humans. A person who runs fast, works smart, and brings a smile to the office (virtually or in-person) every day.
The Associate Director is leading a team focused on delivering great work in all its forms, from flawless execution to inspiring thought leadership. They will master strategic development, plan creation, activation, optimization, reporting and learning while shepherding a team of supervisors, planners, and assistants to get it done for our clients. They a burgeoning expert and adept with clients. With a keen eye to “what good looks like,” they push for better.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive team collaboration and create positive environment for individual growth
Champion team culture and facilitate some fun from time to time
Bring an innovative perspective to account work, department initiatives, and overall agency POVs
Develop digital media strategy in coordination with the Integrated Client Strategy team, which enables the collective team to build media plans that achieve a client’s media objectives
Responsible for actively overseeing optimizations for in-market campaigns across their digital book of business
Develop visually appealing and easily digestible client-facing reporting, in cooperation with the NOVUS analytics team, that is both accurate and actionable
Ensures budget, billing, and audit stewardship occurs across the team
Train and lead the team to achieve activation excellence
Accountable for team focus on digital operations and quality assurance for all campaign launch/modifications
Collaborate with leadership and peers to develop solutions that will enhance our operational efficiency, tools, and systems, and improve current workflows
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department head
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 7 years of biddable media experience
Programmatic expertise is required, with experience activating in social and paid search preferred.
Knowledgeable in Google Campaign Manager (GCM)
Experience with self-service DSP operation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
Working knowledge of advertising products and fulfillment procedures
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
Strong analytical capabilities with aptitude for determining the optimal ways to setup, deliver, troubleshoot, and QA campaigns.
Project management experience or certification a plus
GoogleAds and Bing certification preferred
