Vice President of Pharmacy Operations
Quality of Life Schedule ~ Days 1st Shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, Patient Services, the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations is responsible for health system pharmacy operations, both inpatient and outpatient services, including development, communication, and implementation of pharmacy operations mission, vision, and goals.
Responsibilities
Provides strategic leadership to pharmacy operations across multiple sites to support patient centered care and high-quality patient experience.
Provides leadership for clinical pharmacy programs, including 340(b), retail pharmacy and activities across the health system.
Associate Pharmacy, inpatient and outpatient drug distribution, medication use quality and safety, regulatory compliance, drug procurement, and financial performance.
Executes on policy and formulary decisions in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Develops systems to ensure optimal therapeutic drug utilization.
Anticipates and creates plans to manage new drug costs and supply chain related shortages, incorporating new technologies that enhance operational performance.
Requirements
A Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive hospital pharmacy leadership experience.
Experience in the entire continuum of care (e.g., inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, regulatory) is desirable.
5+ years of experience managing budgets and P&L oversight.
3+ years of experience within Change Management/Process Standardization.
Significant experience in 340(b) program management.
