Overview:Job Purpose
Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is looking for a Lead Business Analyst to be part of the technology organization based in our Atlanta office. The Lead Business Analyst will collaborate with ICE Data Product, Engineering, Quantitative, Operations and QA teams to perform analysis for development of products to achieve key growth objectives. The Lead Business Analyst analyzes users' business needs to develop effective and creative solutions within time constraints using but not limited to SQL, Visio and Programming technologies. Further, the Lead Business Analyst will manage all phases of the project life cycle including developing requirements and collaborating with the engineering teams to produce technical design specifications, test plans and product release artifacts.
Responsibilities
Prior experience in business analysis and work as a liaison between Business and Technology teams as part of the SDLC process
Elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for business processes, content and functionality from users
Suggest business workflow and recommend improvements and efficiencies to new and existing products and features
Serve as subject matter expert for development on reference data and pricing for different asset classes such as Fixed Income, Equity, Exchange Traded Derivatives and Funds
Assist the production support development group with client questions or issues across several products
Formulate testing strategies and assist users and developers in testing of key deliverables
Train and mentor other business analyst teammates
Review technical specs of business analysts on the team
Knowledge and Experience
Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration (M.B.A) or a related discipline preferred; or 5 or more years of applied experience as a Business Analyst in a Software Engineering/Application Development group
Experience in maintaining data, defining operational processes and partnering across product, operations and development groups
Experience working within an integrated technology environment – using relational databases, endpoints/APIs and UIs to read and analyze data
Experience with documenting business and system requirements including documentation of comprehensive use-cases and working within iterative software development environments
Experience with Front, Middle or Back-Office workflows and products in the Capital Markets is a plus
Expert using MS products including Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong SQL skills; knowledge of a programming language such as C++, Java or Python is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
General technical background required (understanding of principals and key practices across the SDLC)
Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
