Maximus is looking for a research assistant/business analyst to support a congressionally mandated study for assessing nuclear energy capabilities, trade-offs, innovations, and supply chain risks. The successful candidate will assist the research manager in tracking the project's progress as well as compiling and evaluating research data. This role involves coordinating with a diverse team of experts, managing resources efficiently, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.This role requires a proactive individual capable of engaging with a range of stakeholders to support a critical research project that will inform future policy decisions on electrical power infrastructure and availability. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to contribute to the study's success. This role also requires a detail-oriented approach for producing high-quality analyses suitable for submission to senior government leaders and Congress.Responsibilities:

The research assistant will be responsible for assisting the research manager in coordinating and general oversight of the research project including data collection, data analysis, and ensuring the timely delivery of findings. The successful candidate will participate in drafting proposals, selecting methods, and presenting findings.This includes:Collaborating with research teams to assist in defining the scope and objectives of the studyCompiling and organizing data responses from various agencies, ensuring accuracy and completenessAnalyzing collected data to identify trends, insights, and key findings related to electrical power availabilityPreparing comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate research findings to stakeholdersCoordinating with government and industry partners to facilitate information exchange and support study objectivesConsolidating results from literature reviewsAttending project meetingsWriting reports to summarize progress, findings, and the implications of the resultsPreparing questions for data calls and collecting dataConducting analysis of dataMaintaining quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findingsRequired Skills:

Due to Federal requirements candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with CI PolyBachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in data management and analysis softwareExcellent communication and report writing skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksExcellent skills in teamwork and data analysis, enabling them to effectively lead teams, present findings, collaborate on project planning and execution, and analyze and interpret dataProven work experience as a research assistant, business analyst, or similar roleExcellent administrative skillsKnowledge of research methodsAbility to work under pressureProficiency in data analysis and interpretation of complex research findingsDesired Skills:

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
