Duties

This position is located in our Office of the Director. As a Public Affairs Specialist, you will:

RequirementsQualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-14 , you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes:

Utilizing communication principles, methods, practices, and techniques covering all forms of media; to include written, verbal, in person, virtual, video, social media, web presence; including stakeholder outreach and engagement, branding, and media relations;AND

Experience in planning, developing, organizing, coordinating and integrating, and implementing effective public affairs activities and programs across internal and external stakeholders and for a variety of audiences;OR

Developing Public Affairs strategies for senior decision makers taking into account variables including effectiveness, speed, and cost.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or

volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
