About The Opportunity
Schedule: Monday to Friday (No call)Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week)Setting: Outpatient
ResponsibilitiesDiagnosing various endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism), adrenal disorders (Cushing's syndrome, Addison's disease), pituitary disorders, metabolic disorders, and moreDeveloping treatment plansReviewing patient history and performing physical examinationsEvaluating, diagnosing, and providing appropriate treatment and patient careRecommending and ordering lab tests including X-rays of the joints to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose conditionsDiagnosing disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune systemDiagnosing and treating rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles, and jointsTreating patients with rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to, lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosisPrescribing anti-inflammatory drugs and other medicationsFormulating ongoing treatment and disease management plansReferring to occupational or physical therapy as requiredParticipating in medical staff educational programs and meetings
QualificationsCurrent unrestricted NYS medical licenseBE/BC in Rheumatology (MD/DO)
