Director of Junior Tennis

Job Classification:
Full-time, year round
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direction, coordination, and supervision of the Junior Program
Execute and maintain the 12 different levels within the Minnetonka Tennis Club Junior Program: Tiny Stars, Green Dot Invitational, Advanced, Advanced Tiny Stars, Beginning Intermediate, Invitational, Beginners, Intermediate, Tournament Players Group, Advanced Beginners, Advanced Intermediate, Teen Beginners
Lead/Co-lead each class session, especially in the High Performance groups
Set up periodic Evaluation Sessions and maintain the extensive Evaluation List throughout the year
Create and manage the summer Junior Team Tennis teams at the 14U & 18U levels
Attend periodic meetings with MTC Tennis Director and summer directors
Monitor the performance of the students in the junior program and make recommendations for advancement
Assist in creating a Fall/Winter/Spring schedule along with an 8-week summer program
In addition to teaching junior private and group lessons, involvement in our adult programming
Take the lead in communication with juniors and their parents and oversee all issues as they arise
Arrange for regular off-court hours before or after class sessions
Promote the Junior Program at MTC within the Twin Cities tennis community
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
USPTA or PTR Certification
4+ years of tennis teaching
Experience working with High Performance Players
4.5+ NTRP Rating
Excellent organizational and communication skills
