As a Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for working with senior Technology and Business Executives, understanding their vision and translating it into execution strategy. You will guide software engineering teams responsible for the design and delivery of high-quality software for critical business features, built on AWS to the latest technology standards. You will collaborate with Architecture, Card Product, Card Technology, and Enterprise stakeholders to drive this critical project forward. You will provide technology thought leadership and help raise the talent bar by recruiting and hiring top engineering talent. You will also work with product owners to articulate benefits of proposed solutions; influence the technical roadmap; and help business prioritize work.What you will need to bring for this position:Experience building and leading a large team in the development and rapid delivery of platform capabilitiesExperience in delivery of software that has many human operational touch pointsStrong data skills to lead through system of record conversations as well as the timing of dataA history of embracing and incubating emerging technology and open source productsRecruit, motivate, mentor, and lead the best application engineering talentCustomer-first attitudeInnovative thinking with a passion for problem-solvingAbility to provide a logical framework to support conclusions and ideasGreat attitude, team player, and energy amplifier. Be a “leader of leaders”Set and own goals, OKRs. Able to work backwards from a vision and build a delivery planLead the definition of new capabilities, guiding the technical architecture and needs to deliver functions spanning people, process, and technologyPartner with Business Leaders to shape and prioritize initiativesManage the expectations of a diverse stakeholder group as it relates to progress towards deliveryStrong technologist.
