We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to head and coordinate our cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of our product initiatives.

Job Overview:

As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee multiple engineering teams, including backend development, frontend development, QA, and data teams. Your primary responsibility will be to manage cross-team product deliverables, ensuring that all teams have the necessary resources and information to meet deadlines and achieve project goals. You will be instrumental in facilitating communication, resolving roadblocks, and driving the continuous improvement of our engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor team leads and members across multiple engineering disciplines, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of product features and updates, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.

Resource Management:

Ensure that teams have the tools, resources, and information needed to deliver high-quality work on time.

Cross-Team Coordination:

Facilitate communication and collaboration between backend, frontend, QA, and data teams, ensuring a cohesive approach to product development.

Agile Practices:

Implement and maintain agile methodologies, utilizing Atlassian JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.

Code Management:

Oversee the use of GitHub and GitLab for code management, ensuring best practices are followed and that code quality is maintained.

Communication:

Utilize Slack and other communication tools to ensure that team members across different time zones are kept informed and engaged.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive the continuous improvement of engineering practices, processes, and tools to increase efficiency and product quality.

Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with Product Management, DevOps, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve technical and organizational challenges that could impact project delivery, proactively mitigating risks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.

Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in a global, distributed environment.

Strong expertise in project management, particularly with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.

Solid understanding of software development processes, with experience in backend and frontend development, QA, and data management.

Proficiency in code management using GitHub and GitLab, with an understanding of best practices in version control.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage remote teams and drive alignment across time zones.

Experience with agile methodologies and a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and organizational dynamics.

Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and the unique obstacles of developing cybersecurity products is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the cybersecurity industry, particularly in building or managing cybersecurity scanning solutions.

Certifications in project management or agile methodologies (e.g., PMP, CSM).

Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
