in Alton, Illinois.
Alton Memorial Hospital is a full-service acute-care hospital with 158 beds and over 392 physicians, offering a variety of inpatient and outpatient services including surgery, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, therapy, and 24-hour emergency and ambulance services. Alton Memorial is a training site for Family Medicine residents through SIU School of Medicine and is a member of BJC Healthcare, one of the nation's largest nonprofit health care organizations.
Position Details:
7 on 7 off schedule
182 Shifts per year
Closed ICU
No Procedures or Codes

Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeEnsures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff.
Responsibilities
Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service.
Minimum RequirementsEducation
Doctorate in Medicine
Experience
2-5 years
