About the TeamDoorDash is seeking a seasoned full-stack Engineering Manager with a strong product sense to lead the Affordability team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This team ensures that all customers can discover affordable options within their budget and make well-informed purchase decisions by discerning the items offering the best value. The team’s scope spans both client applications and backend development and will require close coordination with the machine learning and platform teams. The goal of this team is to make DoorDash the ultimate destination that delivers unparalleled value and satisfaction.

Your focus will be on crafting a top-tier shopping journey spanning various interfaces like the homepage, search, store, and item screens within the DoorDash app. Moreover, you'll spearhead the team's technical roadmap and implementation, ensuring the development of robust, highly accessible, and easily adaptable engineering systems. You have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
You have 7+ years of industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years of management experience.
You have experience managing engineering disciplines across BE + Android + iOS + Web.
You bring a strong product sense and can be a thought partner with cross-functional peers.
You have hands-on experience working with non-technical stakeholders, cross-team collaboration, and building scalable products in a fast-paced environment.
You have the ability to handle ambiguity and work with product and business partners to collect non-technical requirements to design and build scalable experience solutions.
You have the ability to guide and grow an excellent engineering team in a rapidly changing business environment.
