In this role, you will be driving the direction of research and develop novel techniques for building and optimizing highly efficient foundational models for on-device applications, pushing the state of the art.

Visiting Scientist - Reality Labs, Core AI (Technical Leadership) Responsibilities:

Innovate on model compression and inference acceleration techniques for LLMsContribute to research publications and publish at top-tier venuesProvide leadership to the engineering teams delivering Assistant experiences on AR and VR devices

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.A PhD in deep learning with applications to computer vision, NLP and model optimizationUnderstanding of modern ML concepts like LLMs, diffusion models, grounded vision-language models, Multimodal LLMs, model quantizationFirst author publications in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, ICML, CVPR...)Fluency in Python and PyTorch

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated research experience via work experience and publications.Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or product releases.Top-tier publications on efficient foundational model architectures and model optimization (LLMs, MM-LLMs, Diffusion models, quantization, model compression, distillation etc)
