About the role:

The Head of Business Intelligence is a critical functional lead role responsible for overseeing business intelligence and related functions within the organization. This position involves managing the design, implementation, and optimization of data-driven solutions that support the company's strategic objectives. The role focuses on ensuring the efficient analysis and reporting of data, enabling key decision-makers to leverage business intelligence (BI) to drive results.

A day in the life of our Head of Business Intelligence

Lead and develop the Business Intelligence (BI) function, focusing on data architecture, data warehousing, enterprise reporting, and the implementation of BI strategies aligned with organizational goals

In collaboration with Data Engineering, work to establish and implement data warehouse and data mart best practices and requirements

Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure BI solutions meet organizational needs, ensuring data governance, quality, compliance, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure

Manage the development and deployment of enterprise reporting solutions, providing decision-makers with accurate, and timely insights

Direct and guide BI teams through operational planning, project management, cost monitoring, and ensuring projects are delivered on time within budget

Manage a team of business intelligence professionals fostering a high-performance culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement

Set clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure team members are developing their skills and contributing effectively to the organization’s objectives

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data architecture, or a related field, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred

Strong knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.), data warehousing, data marts, and database management systems. Experience with data governance and quality management

Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with experience in managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with senior leadership

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and manage routine operational plans and resolve issues effectively

The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $194,000. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
