Learn more at www.paradymemanagement.com.We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Proposal Writer with technical acumen specializing in government contracting to join our Business Development team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing winning proposals for federal, state, and local government contracts. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.The Proposal Writer will be responsible for creating compelling and persuasive proposals to secure federal contracts. This role requires a deep understanding of the federal procurement process and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.Responsibilities

PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENTWrite, edit, and proofread proposal content.

Engage in the development and writing of high-quality proposals in response to government Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitation types.Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and business development team members to gather necessary information and ensure proposals meet all technical, legal, and contractual requirements.Write, edit, and proofread proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with solicitation requirements.QUALITY ASSURANCEEnsure proposals are compliant with all solicitation requirements and company standards.Conduct final quality checks, including formatting, content accuracy, and adherence to RFP requirements.PROJECT MANAGEMENTProvide input to Business Development Lead in creating proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices to manage the proposal process from start to finish.Coordinate proposal reviews and approvals, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.Maintain version control and documentation for all proposal-related materials.STRATEGY & RESEARCHConduct thorough research on government procurement processes, potential clients, and competitors to inform proposal strategy.Develop and articulate compelling value propositions, win themes, and differentiators tailored to each opportunity.COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATIONFacilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams involved in the proposal process.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior proposal writers and other team members as needed.REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in proposal writing, with a focus on government contracting.Demonstrated success in developing winning proposals for federal, state, and local government agencies.Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements (FAR, DFARS, etc.).Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an ability to translate complex technical information into clear and compelling content.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Experience working extensively with Techncial SME's to translate technical solutions into clear, persuasive language that is understandable to non-technical reviewers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software (e.g., Deltek, SharePoint).Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Certified Proposal Management Professional (CPMP) or similar certification is a plus.
