Channel Marketing Consultant

PR: 30-40/hr

Hybrid, Saint Paul, MN

Contract

Responsibilities

Project-based role aligned to support our Group life insurance

Develop and refine marketing/communication materials tailored to employers and their employees (presentations, communications plans, digital assets, talking points, plan summaries, postcards, newsletters, digital tactics, videos, marketing campaigns, etc.)

Create consumer-centric messages that resonate and foster specific actions.

Work with the enterprise marketing agency, legal and compliance, marketing analytics and the marketing teams to create and update marketing materials; managing marketing projects from start to finish.

Create new virtual experiences to support our employers and employee communication (a video-rich ‘virtual site visit’ experience for employees and to support the sales funnel, and additional sales/promotional videos).

Independently, the worker should be able to bring strong marketing strategy and innovative execution ideas to the table.

Writing, light editing, proofreading, procuring approval and signoff, and utilization tracking are required.

Support adhoc sales efforts for prospects and retention of clients. This includes the execution and maintenance of specialized marketing collateral across multiple touch points, under tight deadlines.

Manages personal development to thrive in a rapidly changing marketing environment.

Requirements

Knowledge of the latest marketing innovations

Great written and oral communication skills

Ability to grasp complex financial concepts and communicate them effectively, succinctly, and appropriately for each medium

Critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability in order to be an effective consultant with clients and internal partners; and the ability to present ideas, negotiate and problem solve

Strong organization, planning, and prioritization skills to effectively balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Self-starter who can assess needs, make independent decisions and determine action plans to deliver impactful results

Strong understanding of the mindsets of our target audiences

Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and work productively with different personality types

Ability to adapt content to the desired style

Exceptional project management and leadership skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Familiarity with Workfront, compliance tools and/or ability to learn new marketing systems and new media channels such as social media

At least three years of experience within a Marketing/Communications role

Experience within financial services

Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Demonstrated high degree of initiative.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Experience in adhering to various regulatory requirements for marketing literature

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Marketing or Journalism
