Associate Chief Medical Informatics Officer - East Region (New Jersey)

This role would be 0.7 FTE as the Associate Chief Medical Informatics Officer and 0.3 FTE clinical in the specialty of the person hired.
The Associate Chief Medical Informatics Officer (ACMIO) for the East Region of Jefferson Health is the physician leader responsible for the overall relationship between Information Services and Technology (IS&T), the Office of Clinical Informatics (OCI), and the Jefferson Health provider community across the northern divisions of the organization. The ACMIO represents the regional voice of the provider to guide decision-making regarding technology solutions and is responsible for driving standardization of technology use and workflows to promote high-quality, safe, and efficient patient-centered care. The ACMIO advocates for clinicians and patients to help them leverage technology effectively.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership with the design, implementation, adoption, and meaningful use of Jefferson Health’s advanced health information technology platform. Engage care providers in the development and integration of the organization’s systems.
Lead organizational change and influence others to translate vision into action. Adapt rapidly to new information and changing conditions.
Lead people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Foster an inclusive workplace and support constructive resolution of conflicts.
Exceed organizational goals and customer expectations. Make decisions that produce high-quality results by analyzing problems and calculating risks.
Education Requirements:
MD or DO degree required. Board certification in Medical Informatics or equivalent education preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Board certification in American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) medical specialty. ABMS Member Certification in Clinical Informatics preferred.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 5 years of clinical work experience as an attending physician, with at least 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in EHR management and informatics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Understands and applies principles related to clinical informatics expertise.
