GENERAL DESCRIPTIONTrinity High School in River Forest, IL, is seeking a highly qualified, mission-driven executive as Chief Financial Officer. Trinity High School is an all-girls Catholic school located in a near western-suburb of Chicago. Trinity is an International Baccalaureate school with more than 100 years of history of educating young women who embrace knowledge, faith, and strength as global citizens of the twenty-first century. Purposefully diverse, Trinity attracts students from across the Chicagoland area (over 50 zip codes), and internationally, with a mission of empowering young women.The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Trinity High School is a key member of the President’s Senior Administration Team, responsible for the leadership of the school’s finances, business office, maintenance, transportation, buildings & grounds, and security. The CFO ensures the efficient and effective use of school funds. The CFO provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. The CFO supervises the finance unit and is the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The CFO directly assists the President on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting needs. The CFO position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the school, including the development of a financial and operational strategy with the President.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead the overall long-term planning for both monetary and facility needs.

Manage the accounting, human resources, tax, maintenance, building & grounds, security, and transportation departments.

Direct the annual budget process for personnel, revenue, expenses, capital expenditures, and investments.

Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports/filings to the IRS, ACA compliance, 403(b) and pension plans, development and monitoring of organizational contracts and budgets.

Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.

Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs (Accounts Payable and Receivables – Tuition Collection).

Investigate cost-effective benefit plans and other benefits which the organization may offer employees.

Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by management, the Finance/Facilities Committee and Board of Directors.

Attend Finance/Facilities Committee meetings.

Assist the President in the design, implementation, and timely calculations of wage incentives and salaries for the staff.

Oversee business insurance plans, and Health and Welfare Plans.

Oversee the building engineer to ensure the repair and maintenance of the building and that the building meets or exceeds Code.

Oversee distribution of financial assistance.

Assume other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATIONPreferred Experience5-7 years as a Controller, Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer with a relevant organization of at least 50 employees.EducationRequired: Completion of a bachelor's degree in Business at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.Preferred: Completion of a master's degree in Business at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESGeneral office software, including Excel and Word, and skillful in the use of databases, specifically Quickbooks.Create and assess financial statements and budget documents.

Recognize and be responsive to the needs of parents, faculty and students.

Supervise staff, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement.

Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.

SALARY AND BENEFITSStarting Salary Range depends on qualifications and experience. Medical, Dental, Vision, 403b plan. School holidays plus vacation and sick time.
