Senior Research Associate, Nucleic Acid Analytics

We are partnered with a growing gene therapy startup in South San Francisco seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate of Nucleic Acid Analytics to support research across RNA and DNA analysis. This organization is working on a novel approach using a non-viral targeted gene therapy to treat unmet needs.Key Responsibilities:Support research through analysis of RNA and DNA, characterizing gene therapy vectors.Develop and optimize protocols for NGS based DNA and RNA analytics and for ddPCR.Conduct sample and library preparation for RNA sequencing, using high-throughput methods for DNA and RNA extraction.Conduct data analysis and present findings to others across the organization.Qualifications:BS or MS in biological sciences or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in nucleic acid analytics.Experience in developing and optimizing ddPCR testing, conducting DNA extraction and RNA extraction, running library prep for tissue RNA sequencing, and using Illumina platforms for library sequencing.Strong communication and presentation skills, familiarity with ELNs and other platforms.
