Powered by the relentless innovation of the open source community, Cloudera advances digital transformation for the world's largest enterprises.We are looking for a Vice President of Industry Solutions to lead our Industry Solutions team reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer. This position manages the day-to-day activities of a senior highly skilled team of global industry managing directors and senior managers.The VP of Industry Solutions proactively identifies customer and market related signals that could indicate threats to continued success or opportunities to grow the business and increase Cloudera market share across the company's target industries. This individual makes projections based on current trends and future expectations, working with Cloudera leadership to set the Industry Solutions go-to-market plans and goals for the company. This individual is also accountable for creating and maintaining the industry global strategy plans.As a VP Industry Solutions you will:Own methodology and development of the industry market strategy including the key vertical Industry Business Plans and Industry Sales Playbooks outlining Cloudera's understanding of the market dynamics for data & analytics trends and needs of the supported industries.Proactively work with Cloudera's marketing to position the company as a leader in our key vertical industries.Develop trusted advisory relationships with industry customers, understand customers challenges and engage in strategic business discussions.Ensure appropriate business solution expertise support is provided and leveraged during the sales and solution implementation cycle.Develop successful thought-leadership and solution strategies working closely with sales and business and product solutions management to achieve maximum profitability in the key market segments, while maximizing revenue growth of all company products and services.Proactively work with customers, Cloudera's sales & solution management, Partners, VARs, and prospects to identify new solutions and industry specific product requirements to generate revenue.Engage with various Partners to develop Marketing and Sales strategies to penetrate customers.Manage the development and execution of industry business plans including market sizing, addressable market opportunity, win/loss analysis, customer requirements, competitive positioning, and more across key verticals.Work with industry and corporate marketing to position Cloudera in the relevant industries.Work with sales leadership to ensure appropriate industry resource coverage during strategic sales cycle support.Establish and maintain trusted advisory relationships with key customers.Support the interaction between sales force and key industry segment customers to ensure effective, ongoing product and solution communication.Provide quarterly business review, account planning and sales support as required.Present at industry conferences and events, demonstrating the Cloudera Solution and value-added benefits.Develop and manage relationships with solution specific partners.Establish relationships with industry analysts and press representatives.We are excited about you if you have:A minimum of 20 or more years of overall experience in relevant industries and/or marketing/selling to the relevant industry(s).Prior people management experience with senior level direct reports (director and up).Experience with enterprise business applications or analytics/data software required.Understanding of data/analytics and cloud trends and technologies.Strong knowledge of market solutions for relevant industries.Demonstrated ability to establish a winning go to market (GTM) strategy.Experience driving Demand Generation and pipeline growth campaigns in a complex global enterprise sales environment, focusing on large enterprises.Executive Presence.Proven ability to establish Trusted Advisor relationships with C-Level Executives.People management and establishing team performance objectives.Excellent Communicator / Accomplished Public Speaker.Aptitude for data & analytics technology and ability to connect technical concepts to business value.You may also have:Bachelor's degree; MBA or MSc preferred.Respected thought leader in a supported industry.Preferably multilingual with global experiences.What you can expect from us:Generous PTO Policy.Support work life balance with
