Most of your time will be spent embedded with our telecommunications client teams, and we will look to you to provide our clients with a unique sector business & technology perspective on how they must continue to innovate and remain competitive in this ever-changing industry.Your key responsibilitiesYou will focus on delivery across customer/agent experience, service & product, networks, BSS & OSS systems. You will team with various EY Technology Competency groups (AI & Data, Digital Engineering, Technology Strategy & Transformation) to pursue and deliver engagements that will bring our telecommunications clients unique solutions to solve their complex issues & challenges.Skills and attributes for successLeading medium to large size project teams (on-shore, near/off-shore) through agreed-upon phases of project governance, requirements definition, architecture design, vendor selection, systems integration, bespoke development, testing & QA, release management and risk analysis of a client’s project life cycleLeading business development activities (e.g. RFPs, points of view-based business development) and demonstrated ability to build and nurture client relationshipsCollaborating with alliance partners and team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the telecommunications industry marketplaceProviding broad technical knowledge of various telecommunications centric key technology and business platforms; teaming with client technology professionals and EY third-party strategic alliancesDeveloping long-term relationships and networks, both internally and externally; interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders and executivesTo qualify for the role, you must haveBachelor’s degree and twelve or more years of related work experience, with at least 8 years in a management / technology consulting company8 or more years of experience in at least three of the following areas, with a focus on solution definition, solution architecture, systems integration: CRM/ERP software solutions, omni-channel ordering and provisioning, e-commerce, content management or billing, network observability / operations, customer operations, network planning & design, application/leverage of AI/ML across product/engineering/operations – and across fixed & wireless networksFive or more years in defining/designing complex systems, information and integration architectures within the telecommunications industry domainFive years or more experience in business development and client relationship management. This includes coordinating and leading RFP responses and/or proactive business development (linear and lateral extensions). Demonstrated ability to build client relationshipsProject work with two or more of AI/ML, big data and analytics; asset lifecycle management/supply chain; cloud technology delivery; web development; emerging collaborative solutions, including content management; and enterprise data migration, MVNOs, private networks, fixed networks – fiber, cable/DOCSISHands-on experience in technology platforms relevant to your domain preferredStrong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skillsStrong verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skillsExperience presenting to client executives at SVP and above levelExperience of architecture design leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments, and prior advisory experience relevant to telecommunications industry-specific business and technology functionsIdeally, you will also haveDegree emphasis in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, MIS or Mathematics desired; MBA or master’s degree in one of these areas preferredTechnology certifications (e.g. Azure Cloud, SAFe, TM Forum, AI/GenAI) and exposure to / understanding of relevant telecommunications industry standards such as TM Forum, CAMARA, etc.What we look forWe are interested in passionate team members with a strong vision and a desire to stay on top of trends in the telecommunications industry. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $169,900 to $388,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $203,900 to $441,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
