reports to the VP, Total Rewards and has primary responsibility for leading the design, development, implementation and delivery of the health and wellness programs that support the philosophy and culture of the organization while ensuring the programs are locally competitive, cost effective and compliant.Develop benefits strategies and manage current programs ensuring they are designed competitively, executed efficiently, and align with company goals (including but not limited to ERISA, non-ERISA, Absence Management including ADA and Deferred Compensation (401K) plans).Ensure that benefit plans are administered in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to, ERISA, DOL and IRS.Conduct annual evaluations of coverage and policies to assess cost effectiveness and competitiveness.Manage relationships with vendors, brokers and carriers, including the monitoring of cost, service levels, processes and accuracy of data.Lead negotiations and renewals with providers including governance, contract compliance, issues management, communications frequency, schedule and approach.Oversee the effective communication of the company’s employee benefits plans and program to optimize impact and understanding.Conduct informative employee meetings and benefit seminars during open enrollment.Manage the implementation and ongoing management of health and welfare benefits and qualified retirement plans while, at the same time, developing insightful strategies and solutions.What it takes to succeed:A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required.Ten-plus years of benefits administration required, with at least five to seven years of plan strategy and plan design experience.The perks of the position:Paid Time OffComplimentary Park Tickets and PassesPark Discounts on Food and MerchandiseMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401K Retirement planVoluntary InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability BenefitsTuition ReimbursementDependent and Health Care Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance ProgramLegal Assistance PlanEEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
