With an enrollment of more than 40,000 students, UTA is the second largest in the University of Texas System.Job SummaryThe University of Texas at Arlington (UT Arlington) is seeking a skilled and experienced Program Assistant Director, Content Strategy to join our Marketing and Strategy team. The Program Assistant Director of Content Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the university’s goals and enhances its digital presence. This position is based in our Arlington, Texas office and offers a hybrid work arrangement.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with university stakeholders to understand objectives and target audiences.Conduct content audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities.Develop and implement a content strategy that supports UT Arlington’s goals.Create content calendars to ensure consistent, timely content delivery across all digital platforms.Content Creation and Management:Act as a consultant to various teams, guiding the creation of high-quality, engaging content for websites, blogs, email newsletters, and other digital channels.Manage social media team.Work with subject matter experts to gather accurate information and insights.Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and tone.Optimize content for SEO and user experience.Performance Analytics:Utilize analytics tools to monitor content performance.Generate reports and provide insights on content effectiveness.Identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance content strategies.Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership:Lead social media team and provide strategic direction across all social platforms.Partner with the digital and design teams to ensure cohesive content across all channels.Collaborate with web developers and designers to optimize content presentation.Support and guide content contributors across the university, including faculty, staff, and students.Foster strong relationships with the communications team to creatively enhance and amplify long-form content across various digital channels.Work closely with agencies and internal partners to ensure alignment and consistency in content strategy and execution.Industry Trends and Innovation:Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content strategy and digital marketing.Share knowledge and propose innovative ideas to keep UT Arlington’s content strategy at the forefront.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related fieldMinimum of seven (7) years of experience in content strategy, digital content marketing, or a similar role.Experience with analytics tools to track content performance (e.g., Google Analytics).Team lead/management experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in higher education or government organization.Experience with analytics tools to analyze and build reports for content performance (e.g., CMS, Google Analytics, Meltwater, Sprout Social).An understanding of UTA’s brand, institutional goals, and audience profiles.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools.Professional understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Professional interpersonal and collaboration skills.Self-motivated with a proactive, results-driven approach.Other RequirementsWorking ConditionsCBC Requirement:
