You will be a thought leader leveraging your experience in mature and robust energy trading markets.Your key responsibilitiesDefine and document trading front, middle and back-office process designExperience in defining and implementing an energy trading organizational modelTrading front, middle and back-office benchmarking, surveys, and market scans for new and emerging technology / value creation opportunitiesVendor Assessments & Scoring and Fit/Gap AnalysisIntegration and alignment of cross product and cross region commodity trading processes and technologiesAbility to leverage prior energy trading experience to identify new business opportunitiesFunctional design and requirements gathering across front office, risk, accounting, settlements, logistics, and schedulingAbility to work across various stakeholder groups, including business, front office, and technical teamsUnderstanding of capital adequacy, liquidity, and treasury as it pertains to energy trading organizationsDevelopment of energy trading functional and technical roadmapsCommodity management vision settingCommercial strategy for new energiesBusiness DevelopmentThe purpose of this role is to help position EY for growth within the Oil and Gas sector in a rapidly changing market. You will aid in the growth of our energy trading team, author thought leadership material, develop our “Go to Market” strategy, develop sales collateral and solution material.To qualify for the role, you must have:A bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, finance, or a related field and approximately 8 years of work experienceMinimum of 5-8 years of experience working within the oil and gas trading sector, particularly with the front officeTechnical/Functional ETRM system implementation experienceExperience in energy commodities and understanding of the commercial aspects of commodity trading, marketing, or procurementExperience with the transaction lifecycle for commoditiesDemonstrated ability to liaise between business, technology, and vendor teamsStrategic thinking and solutioning skillsStrong understanding of the current solutions in the marketImplementing solutions for our clientsStrong collaboration and teamingCurious mindset and desire to learn and growHighly seasoned project management skillsAbility to influence at all levels of the organizationStrong executive facilitation skillsExceptional written and oral communication skillsWillingness to go out of your comfort zone to break new groundWillingness to travel up to 60%Ideally you will also have:Prior experience in oil and gasExperiences across multiple technology platformsDetailed technical and solution design for ETRMExperience with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud PlatformExperience with JAVA, OpenComponents, OpenJVS, OpenAVS and SAP ABAP developmentSQL, Python or similar languagesWhat we look forWe are looking for people that are passionate consultants, at the top of their game, but who would like to continue to grow their subject matter expertise.What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $169,900 to $388,200.
