Assembler/Operator

The Assembly Operator is responsible for using hand tools to assemble electro-mechanical devices. They will follow detailed instructions and guidelines to ensure that assembled products meet required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices according to detailed procedures.
  • Use hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers) and small powered equipment (e.g., electric screwdrivers).
  • Work with small components to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Report defects to supervisors or quality personnel.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for assembly and inspections.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or in a team.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and small equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to inspect work for defects.
  • Knowledge of soldering techniques (IPC J-STD-001 certification is a plus).
  • Willingness to learn and obtain soldering certification (required).
  • Ability to distinguish colors for assembly and inspection tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred but not required.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
