Our company is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer III to work closely with our BI team and IT Management to help derive internal business intelligence reporting & development in an effort to create, improve and maintain ad hoc & automated reporting and dashboards. Hands-on experience with SQL is also required. Ideally, you are familiar with predictive analysis and data visualization techniques using relevant tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
RESPONSIBILITIES:Help teams on the technical design and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platformsHelp align with firm data management standards and ensure applications within the portfolio are in line with those standardsWrite SQL queries, stored procedures and utilize SQL Server to generate reports and respond to requests from users for dataWork closely with other technology members to ensure quality of monitoringClearly communicate problem/resolution process to users or managementContribute technical documentation and application proceduresAssure compliance to change management and security policiesKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Excellent understanding of Relational Database DesignWorking knowledge of ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and C# or VB.net developmentEstablishment and implementation of reporting tools to create reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, SSRS or similar analytic toolExperience with Data management standards such as data governance is a plusEffective analyst able to work closely with non-technical usersKnowledge of version control with GIT or DevOps is a plusBe self-driven with the desire to achieve measurable, specific results within tight time framesProficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skillsEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalentEXPERIENCE:
5+ years of development experience with ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and C# or VB.net5+ years of experience as Database Analysis and/or Development experience with SQL Server, writing SQL statements and generating reports3-5 years of experience in financial/banking industry a plusOTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other departments/agencies.Be self-driven with the desire to achieve measurable, specific results within tight time framesExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsMust be willing to work after-hoursMust work well in a team environmentMust be able to interface with users and vendorsMust have sense of urgency and ownership to support financial applications, with architectural and system component knowledge preferredProficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.Must be a self-starter that is driven to understand and complete tasks within the guidelines and timeframes assigned.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.40 hours
