Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Channel Marketing leads a pod(s) of channel marketing managers executing campaigns and channel execution process standards for Synchrony channel campaigns within an Agile environment. Assigned pods execute email, direct mail, mobile and file only campaigns. This role will also lead Direct Mail campaign efficiencies as an SME across Direct Marketing, focusing on supplier relations, postage and print efficiencies and consultation on complex direct mail projects with client marketing managers.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead the efforts of channel campaigns including email, direct mail, mobile and file only campaigns ensuring all steps and tasks are adhered to and enhancements are communicated and executed throughout team.

Ensure an inclusive and great place to work by careful resource planning, succession planning, people skills expansion, coaching and development, employee recognition and providing critical experiences to team members

Act as Operations and Resourcing lead for assigned Pods, working cross-functionally with Performance Marketing teams to manage Workflow, forecasting, resourcing, capacity modeling and campaign traffic flow

Identify and implement tactics to reduce campaign cycle time and enhance resource efficiency within assigned pods

Collaborate with peer teams across Growth to deliver on campaign volumes and communicate campaign status.

Provide change management support and implement tactics to manage change across Direct team

Lead Direct Mail campaign efficiency efforts for Direct Marketing team focusing on supplier relations, postage, collating and print efficiencies

Consult on complex direct mail projects with client marketing managers.

Pursue Agile Certifications, including Scrum Master.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree high school diploma/GED and 8+ years of Marketing experience

A minimum of 4 years of work experience with one or a combination of the following: email marketing, direct mail marketing, mobile marketing

1 + years' demonstrated experience developing and managing staff

4+ years' cross-functional work experience in a matrixed organization

Desired Characteristics:

2+ years leading direct mail efficiencies and efforts including experience working with USPS postage savings, print and letter shops, advanced direct mail kitting

1+ years' experience in both B2B (partner) and B2C (consumer) marketing

Proven leadership skills

Experience in consumer financial services with exposure to a credit card or retail environment, or a regulated industry

Strong experience in project management of marketing campaigns and processes, with successful experience influencing and leading cross functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems, develop new tactics and address implementation obstacles.

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
