Our client is seeking a contract SEO Specialist that will play a key role in the execution of organic search optimization and content strategy initiatives.ResponsibilitiesDrive revenue growth and the quantity and quality of organic traffic and conversions across multiple company websites for desktop and mobile users.Research, develop, present, and implement search engine optimization recommendations and communicate the expected business impact.Identify technical SEO issues regarding crawling, indexation and page speed. Recommend changes to website architecture, content, internal linking, and other factors to improve SERP positions.Develop an actionable content strategy, lead the execution of the roadmap through partners, colleagues, and by direct engagement.Provide strong input to design/development teams for the purposes of maximizing the customer experience.Identify appropriate keyword targets for on-page elements including page titles, meta descriptions, page headings and HTML heading structure, alt-img tags, etc.Track, analyze, and act on appropriate KPI’s, as required to achieve revenue goals through traffic, conversions, and other milestone objectives.Execute link-building initiatives by identifying potential link targets and conducting outreach.Think strategically about business targets and objectives for SEO initiatives.Independently conduct campaign-based optimizations focused on improving on-site organic targeting.Continuously develop digital marketing abilities via on-the-job experience, independent research, individual and team training. Serve as the company thought leader on the topic of search. Stay abreast of and work with signal/algorithm changes.Must possess knowledge of HTML and CSS to evaluate company sites and improve on-page elements. Use Excel competently to mine data for insights.Self-Starter: Demonstrate truly independent control and ownership of their work.Contribute to team development by leading individual and group training sessions.Work with, manage and support agency partners.Be a supportive member of a team that is always willing to help each other solve problems.Perform all other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field from an accredited higher learning institution.3-5 years of prior relevant experience managing the day-to-day organic campaigns, preferably in an eCommerce company.Deep experience with ranking factors, signal analysis, and clickstream data, as well as acquisition, conversion, and competitive analysis. Proven experience working with content creation teams, social marketers, and link builders to produce successful content leading to quantitative results and community/engagement enhancement.Success with technical site optimization, identifying appropriate targets based on data, and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SEO/analytics/admin platform tools (SEMRush, Google Keyword planning tool, GA, Google Search Console Bing Webmaster Tools).Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and with financial math such as gross and net margins, ROI, etc.Able to offer timely responses to internal and external communication.Can properly identify business targets and objectives for SEO initiatives.Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures, within deadlines or other time essential constraints.LocationVernon Hills, ILEmployment TypeContract (3 - 12 months)BenefitsChoice of medical, dental, and vision plans.Paid vacation time.Competitive hourly rate.About Ventura SolutionsVentura Solutions is a reputable end-to-end medical device and combination product consulting, staffing, and training firm.
