A law firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Equipment Finance Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have substantial transactional experience, including some background in equipment finance, general finance, or corporate transactions. The role requires excellent academic performance, strong interpersonal skills, and preferably admission to the North Carolina State Bar.Key Responsibilities

Equipment Finance Transactions:

Provide legal guidance on structuring, negotiating, and documenting equipment finance transactions.Advise clients on various types of equipment financing arrangements, including leases, loans, and purchase agreements.Draft and review agreements related to the acquisition, financing, and leasing of equipment.

Transactional Support:

Support general finance and corporate transactions by providing legal advice on structuring, negotiation, and documentation.Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to facilitate smooth and compliant transaction processes.Manage the due diligence process for equipment finance and other related transactions.

Offer expert legal advice to clients on equipment financing options, terms, and conditions.Address client inquiries and concerns related to equipment finance and ensure their interests are protected.Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations applicable to equipment finance transactions.Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting equipment finance and provide guidance accordingly.

Requirements

Experience:

Significant transactional experience is required, with some experience in equipment finance, general finance, or corporate transactions.Experience with drafting, negotiating, and structuring finance agreements.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree or an equivalent legal degree from an accredited law school.Excellent academic performance with a strong background in finance or corporate law.

Licenses/Certifications:

Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred, but not required.Eligibility for admission to the North Carolina State Bar if not currently admitted.

Strong understanding of equipment finance structures, including leases, loans, and purchase agreements.Ability to manage complex transactional processes and documentation.

Excellent legal research skills with the ability to analyze and apply legal principles to equipment finance transactions.Strong drafting and negotiation skills for creating and reviewing finance agreements.
