Shay Glenn LLP, a top-tier boutique patent prosecution firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks a highly motivated IP Paralegal to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key role supporting our patent and trademark prosecution efforts. You'll leverage your meticulous nature and strong technical skills to provide comprehensive administrative and legal assistance to our attorneys.Responsibilities:Develops patent family trees, conducts IP due diligence for domestic and foreign patents, and delivers actionable insights.Prepares and reviews clear and concise communications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and foreign patent offices.Possesses knowledge of trademark procedures, terminology, and USPTO filings, including Redbook procedures.Possesses knowledge of IDS filing procedures.Organizational Mastermind : Manages a busy trademark desk with exceptional organization, prioritizing workloads and maintaining calendars.Client & Communication Hub : Creates and maintains accurate client/matter and communication lists to ensure seamless client interaction.Meticulous File Management : Organizes and meticulously maintains electronic documents, including creating and managing working files as needed.Tech-Savvy Efficiency : Utilizes firm-provided software for accurate email storage, file management, and retrieval.Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporation is required.Knowledge of EP/US/PCT Foreign patent formalities and law and strong understanding of requirements in other major territories is preferred.While not mandatory, a background in US trademark law can be beneficial for this role.Strong attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.Ability to perform effectively with little or no supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.Benefits:Hybrid Work-Life Balance: Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model, working from home two days a week after a successful probationary period.Competitive Compensation: Receive a very competitive salary and benefits package, including a bonus program, 401(k), dental insurance, and paid time off.Positive Work Environment: Be part of a respectful, friendly, and energetic team environment built on trust and collaboration.Job Type: Full-time
