Master Data Associate

will be responsible for maintaining Master Data governance and Data Quality programs for all data domains across the business systems.Where you'll be planted:This is a

To be blunt, this role will be about:Managing SKU creation and updates across the Company’s Retail POS, Regulatory, and Financial SystemsManaging Bill of Materials creation and updates in the Company’s Prod. and Warehouse Management SystemsCreating and managing all vendor profiles including banking and contact information throughout the regionGatekeeper and administrator of all data environments including the company’s ERP and State Regulated Seed to Sale systemsPreparing quarterly user access reviews of all financially relevant systemsManaging the master data approval workflow systems, partnering with the corporate digital team to continuously improve existing systemsWorking with all departments to ensure data integrity and executing various data clean-up projectsBeing responsible for the execution of Master Data maintenance across all business units, including assisting with proper controls, documentation, and communication. This role will interface with Retail & Merchandising, Procurement, Supply Chain & Demand Planning, Manufacturing, IT, and Accounting & Finance.Assisting the Master Data Manager in maintaining visibility to business projects that generate master data demand. Will also work with business users across multiple departments to define and analyze problems, identifying the most suitable technical application or configuration solutions. Creative problem solving, teaming, and project management skills are a must.Investigating business implications of the application of technology or new systems to the current and future business environments as it relates to Master Data alignment and cohesiveness.Performing ad hoc analysis and projects as requested including the transition of Master Data from Legacy systems into future ERP and Manufacturing & WHM systems. Other tasks include data cleansing and merging reports for use in reporting, system updates, and compliance.Assisting the regional controllers, external auditors, and tax accountants as needed to support controls testing, providing evidence and support as requested.Providing support and training to the staff and other team leaders; provide guidance to accounting staff to optimize performance such as methods of improving data accuracy or tools to create efficiencies.

To be successful in this role we know you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems or combination of education, experience, and training which demonstrates the ability to perform key responsibilities2+ years of experience in an analyst or associate role in a large corporation or start-upExperience working in a SOX-compliant environment preferredExperience or exposure to all areas of business operations preferred including but not limited to, accounting, banking, procurement, manufacturing & production, sales, merchandising, and inventory management.Experience working in a highly computerized environment and processing financial transactions using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and/or accounting software.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, knowledge of Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint preferred.Accurate, self-starter, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks with competing deadlines.Creative problem solver who can identify root causes and implement unique solutions to increase efficiencies and promote compliance.Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments. Responds timely to inquiries from external and internal customers.Analytical, detail-oriented, and honest.
