Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide oversight of the security function to create and sustain a productive work culture. Additionally, this position must respond to incidents and protect the company’s interests while mitigating threats to the assigned area of responsibility.

Assist as required in protecting the company from natural disasters, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, and other workplace incidents.

Provide support and analysis for business line proposals.

Assist with the implementation of countermeasure planning and management support through vulnerability analysis for engineering, procurement, and construction projects in domestic and overseas locations.

Investigate fraud, bomb threat, theft, embezzlement, ethics violations, conflict of interest, senior management issues, and other alleged wrongdoing.

Identify the need for both proprietary and contact guard forces.

Provide assistance as necessary to company chemical screening efforts.

Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements:

Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.

Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Other Job Requirements:

Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities:

Assist and lead a team in the implementation and setup of multiple Property Protection Areas (PPAs) on an offsite of the Savannah River Site to support project construction.

Implement security procedures and measures for the protection of sensitive unclassified information and project assets within PPAs.

Assist with access control measures for personnel entering PPAs.

Conduct security briefings for project management, the M&O contractor, and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).

Work with the M&O and NNSA to resolve security-related issues in an expeditious manner.

Conduct assessments related to vetting potential bidders to ensure security measures are in effect to protect sensitive unclassified information in both hard copy and digital form while under the control of approved vendors.

Conduct assessments of on-site project and contractors to ensure all security requirements are being planned, implemented, and enforced.

Assist in Emergency Management issues that impact security to ensure the safety of project personnel while maintaining an adequate security posture.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior military and/or security operations experience preferred.

Knowledgeable of current security vulnerabilities and threats.

Knowledge of Department of Energy Property Protection Area security requirements.

Advanced computer skills.

$118,500.00 - $213,500.00 per year

OPSEC, CMPC, Physical and/or Personnel Security: 10 years (Preferred)

NNSA/DOE Property Protection Area security: 10 years (Required)
