Manage and treat conditions such as COVID-19, respiratory failure, DKA, renal failure, hypertension emergencies, CHF, post-carotid endarterectomy, post-surgical patients, sepsis, and stroke. Handle and adjust various drips including amiodarone, Cardizem, precede, cardene, labetalol, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, and Nitro. Operate equipment such as Glucommander, trach to vents, BIPAPs, high flows, salters, art lines, and bedside cardiac monitors. Facilitate rapid sequence intubation and manage patients on sedation and ETTs. Manage low dose pressors if ICU overflow is needed. Work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in a 16-bed unit with an average daily census of 16. Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems. Wear navy blue scrubs. Work every other weekend and be available to work major holidays as specified. Float to Cardiac Telemetry Unit and Med Surg Pulmonary unit if needed; ICU floating is possible with experience. Complete an orientation of 13 hours.Additional Information Full compliance required for timely start; delays could push back the start by two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Compliance document deadline is the Tuesday before the start date. References from two managers or higher positions are preferred at the time of application. Required Time Off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 7 days. Weekend and holiday work expectations as outlined in job requirements. Local candidates welcome; same base rate applies.
