Fire TV Channels is an ambitious new free streaming service that brings customers a one-stop shop for fun daily content in News, Sports, Entertainment, Lifestyle, and more in a personalized experience built for Amazon devices.

We are looking for a

Senior Product Manager - Technical

to lead the strategy, development, and scaling of new revenue-generating experiences for Fire TV Channels at the nexus of the customer, content provider, and advertiser. This role will lead product strategy and delivery for Fire TV Channels expansion across new international marketplaces and device surfaces to grow our addressable customer base. You will develop innovative experiences for millions of customers, work with top global and national content brands, and create industry-leading ad inventory for video advertisers. This opportunity puts you in the driver's seat of a new and growing business. We work in the middle of one of the fastest growing areas of entertainment, and our team has full P&L responsibility with engagement, revenue, and profit goals. You will drive the strategy and vision for our products, and develop roadmaps and features that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with engineering, design, business development, content, marketing, and executive teams to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrixed organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products that customers love.

Key job responsibilities

Define the product vision working backwards from delightful and differentiated customer experiencesDevelop a cohesive expansion strategy optimizing product and functional levers to grow our customer base and engagementCreate high quality product roadmaps and detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that drive UX and technical designsGain buy-in for the product vision and roadmap both internally and with key external partnersManage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, content and advertiser partner experience, business opportunity and execution costs/risksWork closely with engineering, UX, content, marketing, finance, and legal teams to invent and simplify for high velocity product deliveryBreak down ambiguous and complex problems, proactively identifying and resolving strategic, technical, business, and customer-impacting issuesDrive product launches and go-to-market working with marketing, public relations, executives, and other teams across marketplaces

About the team

The Fire TV Channels team is part of the Fire TV Content & Advertising organization, which combines entertainment and advertising technologies, smart TVs and Alexa to help our customers discover and engage with content and help Amazon lower prices. We operate at Amazon scale, designing and deploying software that is enjoyed by millions of active users globally. We solve significant customer problems in the consumer electronics space through devices, mobile applications, computer vision, and machine learning. One of our product lines is Fire TV, a global leader with over 200MM streaming players and smart TVs sold worldwide.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experienceBachelor's degreeExperience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a productExperience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definitionExperience with end to end product deliveryExperience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a productExperience managing technical products or online servicesExperience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planningExperience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSightExperience in building and driving adoption of new toolsExperience launching consumer software or advertising products across multiple countries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
