Network Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our IT team onsite in Sacramento. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco routing and switching, LAN/WAN configurations, and fundamental networking principles. This role involves managing and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity across the organization.On-site in Sacramento3-month contract to hireAbout the Role:Key Responsibilities:Network Management: Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related equipment.Cisco Routing & Switching: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches to ensure optimal performance and reliability.LAN/WAN Configuration: Design, implement, and manage local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and troubleshooting procedures.Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for network-related issues, working to resolve problems in a timely manner and coordinating with other IT staff as needed.Vendor Management: Liaise with network equipment vendors and service providers to manage equipment procurement, service contracts, and technical support.Network Upgrades: Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to meet the evolving needs of the organization.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in network administration, with hands-on experience in Cisco routing and switching.Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco network devices, understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, and familiarity with basic networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and end-users.
