With a “Growth Mindset” and Inclusive Team Culture, the company embraces differences and is committed to fostering personal and professional growth while achieving bottom-line results.Qualifications:10+ years of industry experience in predictive & algorithmic modeling, data science, and data analysis.Experience with ML fields, e.g., predictive analytics and financial modeling, statistical learning theory.Experience maintaining and monitoring ML models in a production environment.Expertise in modeling, analysis & building systems using Python.Experience discovering hidden patterns in data using visualization tools, writing SQL, and developing models with modern tools.Experience communicating technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and delivering data-driven presentations.Team player, open-minded, motivated, and dedicated.Strong communication skills with team members, ability to lead and mentor.Responsibilities/Competencies:Collaborate with business domain subject matter experts to understand problems and objectives.Translate complex data into actionable insights for a non-technical audience.Research and build innovative predictive statistical models for all areas of the business.Provide mentorship to junior data scientists in machine learning, data, and software engineering.Maintain, tune, and improve model behavior with live data for the company’s credit decision model to drive profitability.Possess an entrepreneurial mindset.Be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Exhibit strong teaching and mentoring skills to build talent and delegate responsibilities for maximum productivity.Communicate effectively to inspire team members.Be fully accountable for the success and failure of the Data Science team and its management.
