Job Description:As a Software Engineering Consultant, you will engage in complex, large-scale initiatives that have broad impacts across the organization. This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to navigate multifaceted Software Engineering challenges. You will be expected to:Consult on strategic initiatives and large-scale planning for Software Engineering projects.Analyze and resolve complex, multi-faceted Software Engineering challenges that require the consideration of multiple factors, including unique or unprecedented situations.Contribute to solutions that adhere to internal policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, ensuring deliverables meet the organization's standards.Collaborate strategically with cross-functional teams, including client personnel, to ensure alignment on goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze large-scale, long-term Software Engineering problems.Provide insights and recommendations based on a solid understanding of industry best practices.Ensure project deliverables are in line with the organization's objectives.Work within an Agile development environment to provide feedback and enhancements.Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military, or education.7+ years of experience with
Microsoft SQL Server
(mandatory).5+ years of experience with
data modeling
and
database design .7+ years of experience in developing database objects such as tables, views, complex stored procedures, and user-defined functions.5+ years of experience with
SQL query performance tuning .5+ years of experience working in an
Agile development
environment.Nice to Have:
Experience with
Power BI
or
Tableau
reporting.Experience with
ETL processes .Skills & Competencies:
Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on strategic solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Solid understanding of compliance and risk management in Software Engineering.
