Signal Processing Graduate Intern
for the Communication Software Implementation Department (CSID) within the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED). This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.Job SummaryThe Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED) represents the disciplines of communications, networking, and PNT (Position, Navigation, and Timing) in support of space missions, along with their enabling technologies. In our domain, CTED projects comprise all aspects, from architectures to prototypes to implementation, theoretical to hands-on. Our engineers work directly with corporate and U.S. Government customers to ensure robust and resilient communications.The Communication Software Implementation Department (CSID) performs proof-of-concept studies, implements new algorithms, and builds hardware prototypes to bring our radio systems beyond simulation and into the real world. We design non-traditional transceivers using machine learning for classification, regression, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised clustering. Main-mission communication satellites, wideband links, command and telemetry, and terrestrial networks, along with their enabling technologies, are the domain of the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division. The division comprises all aspects, from architectures to implementation; our engineers work directly with corporate customers to ensure robust and resilient communications.Work ModelThis position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.What You’ll Be DoingParticipates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.Training and mentorship will be provided.What Corporate Skills You’ll BringStrong written and oral communication skills.Must work well in a team environment.Possess organizational, time management and project management skills.Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations.What You Need to be SuccessfulMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree completed AND currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a

degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related program.Minimum GPA 3.0.Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program after completion of the internship.Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
