The Program Specialist is responsible for serving as the liaison for individuals requesting, enrolling, and attending OFMR training events.In This Position, You Will:

Develop a comprehensive project plan for the systematic review of short and intermediate-range training and professional development activities.Perform administrative and/or program work such as surveying, planning, researching, analyzing, benchmarking, writing and/or liaison relating to professional development programs and/or activities.Provide contracting support for the training program, including drafting statement of work, identifying course content and learning objectives.Make modifications to training materials and creates and produces supplemental materials.Track statistical information about the training program and develops and maintains databases related to training records.Requirements

Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as conducting and developing education and training programs; scheduling training events and facilities, conducting assistance visits and training meetings; and completing student progress evaluations and using training aids.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Part-time and/or unpaid experience related to this position will be considered to determine the total number of years and months of experience. Be sure to note the number of paid or unpaid hours worked each week.Education:

Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master’s or equivalent degree related to the position may be substituted to meet the experience requirements.Or a Combination: Education and experience may be combined to meet the basic qualifications.
