Event planner
role for one of our fortune 500 clients in the
banking industry.Contract: 6 MonthsLocation: New York, NYPay rate: $40/hr - $43/hr.Job Description:The role is located in New York reporting directly to the Head of Latin America Private Bank Events.Overview of responsibilities:Understand business objectives and develop an event strategy that supports business goalsCreate high-touch events consistent with Private Bank brand standardsStrong in data and budget management, task prioritization and operational efficienciesFamiliar with key Latam cities, venues / vendors, as well as cultural nuancesPartnership with other lines of business, in order to leverage cross-sell event opportunitiesAbility to influence stake holders in order to keep projects on track and in line with regional strategyAbility to negotiate with event venues and vendors to maximize budget allocationsBusiness acumen to think strategically and problem solve offering creative solutionsAbility to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with prompt and clear responsesParticipate in frequent events team and business meetings, providing updates as neededStrong presentation skillsSkills required:A minimum of 5-8 years prior experience in event management related activitiesPortuguese and/or Spanish language skills a mustExemplary oral/written communications and interpersonal skillsSolid project management experienceExtremely detailed orientedAvailability to work late hours and travel internationally on a regular basisProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & SharePoint sitesWillingness to learn, adapt and have a positive and professional attitude at all timesSkilled at handling difficult personalities and able to liaise with senior management on a regular basisPrior experience in financial services a plusApply for this great opportunity today!!!
