Deputy Director

The Deputy Director provides leadership in the planning and execution of all CCPR training programs, seminars, workshops, and meetings. Also, it ensures the Faculty Directors have adequate executive assistance and support, and manages space and resources for the Center.

Salary & Compensation

UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

Minimum of five years of work experience in program management (Required)

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization to create a harmonious and productive work environment. (Required)

Skill in writing concise, logical, analytical, and grammatically correct communications to convey information to management and internal and external parties. (Required)

Problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze information, situations, policies, and procedures to evaluate and address challenging issues, and proactively research appropriate channels for solutions. (Required)

Interpersonal skills, often requiring tact and diplomacy, to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, UCLA faculty, and external stakeholders. (Required)

Spoken communication skills required to interact clearly, distinctly and with appropriate cultural sensitivity with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds, and to provide program information to individuals and the press. (Required)

Ability to work independently, set priorities, perform a variety of duties and multitask in a fast-paced environment. (Required)

Ability to create, monitor, and effectively modify internal office standard operating procedures and functions. (Required)

Experience and skill with various computer software and hardware including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe. (Required)

Working knowledge of University policies and procedures that affect the Center and departmental administration. Knowledge of financial management principles. (Preferred)

Knowledge of UCLA platforms, such as JDXpert, iCIMS, UC Financial Services, BruinBuy Plus, Concur, etc. (Preferred)

Skill in interpreting and comprehending new regulations enacted by the University System-wide Administration. Knowledge of financial management principles. (Preferred)

Skill and sensitivity in HR management and interpersonal relations including handling of sensitive situations. (Preferred)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree in related area or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education. (Required)
