Senior Accountant

Title : Senior AccountantReports To : VP of FinanceLocation : Oak Creek, WisconsinA Senior Accountant is responsible for managing complex accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis. They ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulations.Essential Functions Include:Partnering with Controller to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close.Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, labor, and prepaid expense; responsible for 1099 filings, various government agencies filing, sales tax, property tax, exercise tax, and others.Preparation of monthly overhead spend analysis to present to operations managers.Annually will assist in preparation of annual overhead budget and as well as coordinate with external accountants to complete annual financial statement audit and tax returns.Partner with Controller, VP of Finance, and business partners to ensure timely and accurate financial data is provided to support key business decisions as well as help drive process improvements.Other accounting-related tasks will be assigned as needed.Qualifications Include:B.S. in Business, Accounting or Finance5+ years of demonstrated increasing responsibility in an accountant role.Strong Excel skills and data analysis abilities.Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software experience with Just Foods Microsoft Dynamics ERP a plus.Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:Consistent and reliable attendanceProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
