Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced
Senior Sales Executive
with a background in working with SLED (State, Local, and Education) clients. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, enabling the successful candidate to offer customized solutions while navigating the unique regulatory and procurement requirements of the public sector. The ideal candidate will excel in managing client relationships, driving new business, and expanding KNZ Solutions’ presence within the SLED space.
Key Responsibilities:Identify and develop new business opportunities within SLED markets, focusing on State, Local, and Education institutions.Provide technical consultations, product demonstrations, and customized solutions to meet the specific needs of SLED clients.Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers, IT decision-makers, and other stakeholders within SLED organizations.Navigate government procurement processes and contract vehicles, such as RFPs, RFIs, and cooperative agreements.Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure solutions align with client specifications and compliance requirements.Act as the primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle, ensuring the smooth transition from pre-sale to post-sale support.Meet and exceed sales targets, developing strategies to expand KNZ Solutions’ presence within the SLED market.Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that impact SLED clients.Use CRM software to track sales activities, manage the sales pipeline, and generate forecasts and reports.Must be a “Hunter” with ability to generate new customers/LogosAbility to obtain and maintain a Security clearance preferred.Participate in industry conferences, government meetings, and networking events to build relationships and generate leads within the SLED sector.Technical Expertise and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of KNZ Solutions' product offerings and their applicability to SLED clients.Explain complex technical solutions clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate with technical teams to address client needs, ensure compliance with government standards, and resolve any post-sales technical challenges.Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments affecting SLED clients to provide valuable insights and solutions.Ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance preferred.Willingness to travel:
25% (Preferred)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (preferred).A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in technical sales with a focus on SLED clients or public sector sales vertical.Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, and cooperative agreements.Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with government and educational institutions.Technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex solutions.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Previous experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with state and local government regulations and education sector trendsPrior experience with VARs (Value Added Reseller) preferredBase Salary Range:
$80k - $120k
