We design simple and collaborative products that have the power to delight a discriminating and highly technical audience.The impact you will have:Assists in the general design efforts across the machine learning product lifecycle including areas such as features, models, experiments but with a special emphasis on our serving products including endpoints, AI gateway and others.Assists in the design of workflows that empower customers to quickly and easily create LLMs customized with their own datasets.Balances the need to support highly technical practitioners with the needs of less advanced customers - enabling all audiences to successfully use their data to create powerful customer experiences.Gains a deep understanding of Databricks business objectives, users, market opportunities, and competition. Becomes well-versed on the Databricks product and its personas (Data scientists, data engineers, data analysts and administrators).Partners closely with other product designers to ensure that machine learning workflows work seamlessly with other relevant areas of the Databricks product.Able to work closely with Engineering, Product Management and other key leadership to drive critical initiatives through from ideation to completion.Actively seek & provide design feedback and collaboratively improve the design process.What we look for:5+ years of product design work experience.You possess a unique combination of technical knowledge and visual design skills which allows you to create intuitive and well-crafted product design solutions.A system thinker who has the vision to design the big picture, and the tactical ability to break it down so that engineering can succeed in building it incrementally.Proven ability to ship great products that are technically challenging but designed to be simple and intuitive.A designer with strong tradecraft, who is at ease drawing from a vast toolkit to get the job done.A natural communicator who can explain and document the behavior of the solutions they design.A bachelor's or master’s degree or equivalent, ideally with specialization in HCI, Interaction Design, graphic design, computer science, or related disciplines.A portfolio showcasing the end-to-end design process, from inception to production.Experience with the following is a nice-to-have:Experience designing products in the Big Data space.Experience coding Python, R, SQL or other languages that could be most relevant to the field of data visualization.Pay Range TransparencyDatabricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.Zone 1 Pay Range:
