The Partnership is seeking a Vice President of Family & Community Partnerships. The Vice President will be responsible for developing and implementing a vision for intentional family engagement and community partnership initiatives for our 20 Partnership Schools. The Vice President will lead a team of ~10 full- and part-time staff and will be responsible for managing and coaching the team to set and achieve their goals. This is a full-time, year-round position.Responsibilities

Develop, guide, and monitor the implementation of a comprehensive vision & strategy for family engagement and community partnership initiatives.Support family engagement team members with strategy and implementation of initiatives.Support the community partnerships team with strategic engagement of community-based organizations.Work with team members to build capacity for school sites to deepen relationships with families and community partners.Identify appropriate measures of success for the team’s work and use data to inform decisions.Codify family engagement and community partnership best practices.Provide management, coaching, and leadership development for team members.Collaborate with Partnership teams to maximize support for Partnership students.Collaborate with the Development Team to cultivate and retain grants for team initiatives.Cultivate relationships with community leaders, organizations, and collaboratives within South LA, Watts, and Boyle Heights.Support revisions to district policies and practices related to family engagement and community partnerships.Actively participate in district committees and coalitions to advance our collective efforts.Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in family engagement, community engagement and/or strategic partnerships.Minimum 5 years of management experience.Adaptable to shifting priorities and competing demands.Ability to work collaboratively across differences in work styles and skill sets.Experience leading and managing multiple complex projects.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to cast clear and mission-aligned strategy and vision.Experience leading change management with key stakeholders.Excellent critical- and systems-thinking skills.Proven ability to apply a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.Ability to build authentic relationships and cultivate trust.The ability to travel between school sites and Partnership home office.Spanish language fluency (preferred).Working understanding of K-12 public education sector (preferred).A commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment.To apply
