Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Manager who is passionate about patient-centric HIV care to join our Global Medical Affairs team. This individual will contribute to developing our Global Medical Affairs Plan of Action and developing strategically-aligned content across multiple long-acting HIV treatment products. The Sr. Manager will work collaboratively with Global and US Medical Affairs teams as well as cross-functional partners. This position will be based in Foster City.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:As a content manager and product expert, serve as a key contributor and knowledge expert across the long-acting HIV treatment portfolioCollaborate with Directors to develop Global Plan of Action and ensure alignment of team activitiesCollaborate with Clinical Development, Global Strategic Marketing, Global Value and Access, Medical Affairs Research, affiliate Medical Affairs teams, and other cross-functional teams across varied initiatives including strategic plan implementation, scientific resource development, conference activities, and internal training materials/supportManage the creation, review, and updating of Medical Affairs slide decks, infographics, medical narratives and other strategic resourcesProvide training within the therapeutic area on relevant topics for Medical Affairs personnel and help create and review training materialsAttend major global scientific conferences to assess relevant information and support conference deck development and trainingProvide medical and scientific input on Phase 4 research, promotional materials, and Global Value and Access initiativesIndependently manage projects related to analysis of new, emerging data and determine relevant information to incorporate into medical content and trainingsDevelop and maintain HIV SharePoint Page to disseminate information and resourcesSupport HIV Medical Affairs Advisory Programs, as neededManage projects to completion, anticipating obstacles and difficulties that may arise, resolving them in a collaborative mannerSpecific Knowledge, Education, and Experience RequirementsAdvanced medical/scientific degree (e.g., MD, PhD, Pharm D, NP/PA) with 0-2 years’ experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience, or advanced degree with 6 years’ experience.Advanced scientific degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD or equivalent), with relevant clinical experience in HIVPrior pharmaceutical industry experience preferred (1-3 years, ideally within Medical Affairs)Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in developing PowerPoint presentationsAbility to synthesize findings and clearly articulate implications from multiple sources of information and to formulate strong, actionable recommendationsOrganized, attentive to detail and able to meet timelines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize workloadMust be able to work with a level of autonomy and independenceAbility to travel to domestic and international conferences and internal meetings (5% expected)Display of Gilead Core Values:Integrity (Doing What’s Right)Teamwork (Working Together)Excellence (Being Your Best)Accountability (Taking Personal Responsibility)Inclusion (Encouraging Diversity)The salary range for this position is: $165,580.00 - $214,280.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
