The Business Development Executive (BDE) serves as a growth leader in their assigned market working closely with the Managing Partner (MP) in the development and execution of the overall market growth strategy and providing direct business development and pursuit leadership for strategic prospects and clients. Primary areas of focus will include developing relationships and new business with organizations ranging from $200m privately-owned business to multi-billion dollar public companies.

How You Will Contribute:

Develop a strong working relationship and growth cadence with the MP to assess market needs, define growth strategies, monitor progress against goals, and ensure alignment of activities to key focus areas of market growthIn coordination with the MP, lead/facilitate regular market growth meetings with key Market Industry and Service Line leaders, coordinating market growth efforts and strategic pursuitsIn alignment with the market growth strategy, lead the identification, qualification and pursuit of new business opportunities at named targeted prospects and select existing clients. Activities include developing and nurturing relationships with key executive buyers, listening to understand critical business issues/strategic goals, and identifying client service opportunities.Provide leadership on strategic pursuits to position the firm to win through pursuit best practices, including:Pre-pursuit research, targeting and developing strategic pursuit plansEngaging and coordinating with necessary subject matter professionalsLeading internal prep and strategy meetings for opportunity scoping and participating in/facilitating scoping and relationships development meetings with targetsCoordinating with necessary market, industry and service line leadership on pursuit and resourcing strategiesLeading and coordinating proposal response including developing proposal strategies, win themes and key messages/differentiators as part of pursuit approachParticipating in oral presentations and follow-up meetingsProviding negotiation/pricing strategy leadership as part of pursuitCoordinate with firm-wide teams across services and industries to drive collaboration and cross-serve opportunities with our clientsOutside of direct strategic targeting efforts, serve as a face of the firm in the market, developing referral relationships and qualifying/leading opportunistic pursuits as they ariseParticipate in trade organization and relevant business networks to build relationships in the community in alignment with market growth strategyProvide ongoing business development coaching to Partners, Managing Directors, Directors and Senior ManagersCollaborate extensively with other BDEs around the firm to drive synergies and to share best practices to expand your skillsets and enhance the overall culture and capabilities of the Business Development teamWe are looking for people who are Builders and bring:

Experience managing multiple pursuits and strategic account plans simultaneouslyA thorough understanding of the professional services industry, with knowledge and experience operating in public accounting and/or consultingDemonstrated ability to coordinate teams across numerous competencies to work collaboratively towards group goals and objectivesDemonstrated experience maintaining professional relationships with C-level executives and buyers of target companies and clientsAbility to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels, both verbally and in writingAbility to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel to serve clients, as required

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business-related fieldAt least 10 years or more of experience in professional services sales and/or relationship managementProficiency in Microsoft Office suite of toolsSubject matter knowledge and understanding of industries including but not limited to Commercial Products, Technology & Services, Private Equity, and Construction & Real Estate, among others.Preferred Qualifications:

15 years or more of experience working in the public accounting and consulting industryExperience operating in a business development and relationship development capacity at a Top 10 public accounting and consulting firmProven experience leading and facilitating teams through sales methodologies and processes, and representative experience meeting and exceeding annual business development goals
