Senior Network Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, design, and troubleshooting with hands-on experience in large-scale data center migrations and network optimization. This role will involve planning, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructure in multi-vendor environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.Key Responsibilities:Network Design & Implementation:o Design, configure, and implement robust and secure networks using Cisco, Meraki, and Netscaler technologies.o Develop scalable network solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements.o Lead network integration projects, including new deployments and upgrades across various sites and data centers.Data Center Migration:o Lead and execute end-to-end data center moves, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (storage, server, and security) to ensure seamless transition during migrations.o Perform detailed network assessments and develop migration strategies, including risk mitigation, cutover plans, and post-move validation.Troubleshooting & Support:o Provide advanced troubleshooting for network issues, ensuring rapid resolution and root cause analysis.o Serve as an escalation point for network incidents and problems across the organization.o Ensure the network is optimized for performance and scalability.Security & Compliance:o Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall rules, VPN configurations, and secure access policies.o Ensure the network is compliant with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.).Monitoring & Optimization:o Use network monitoring tools to maintain network health, performance, and availability.o Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize network utilization and efficiency.Documentation & Training:o Document network configurations, policies, and procedures.o Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and support staff.Required Qualifications:Education:o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Experience:o Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.o Proven experience with Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls), Netscaler, and Meraki wireless infrastructure.o Demonstrated experience leading data center moves/migrations.Technical Skills:o Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, etc.).o Expertise in Cisco ASA/Firepower for firewall management.o Experience with Citrix Netscaler (ADC) for load balancing and application delivery.o Familiarity with Meraki cloud-managed network devices and dashboard.o Experience with network monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).o Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.Certifications (preferred / not required):o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).o Citrix Certified Associate - Networking (CCA-N) or Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N).o Meraki Solutions Specialist.Soft Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities..
