This is a unique opportunity to apply your software engineering expertise and passion for platform engineering to create a world-class internal platform that drives innovation and productivity across Zoom.About the TeamThe CloudOps organization at Zoom is responsible for building and evolving our Cloud Foundations Platform. Our team helps empower our development teams to efficiently provision and manage resources across our multi-cloud environment.ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our Cloud Foundations Platform.Implementing robust and scalable automation solutions for resource provisioning and management across multiple public cloud platforms.Fostering a culture of self-service and empowerment by creating intuitive interfaces and APIs that enable development teams to efficiently interact with the platform.Applying software engineering best practices, design patterns, and architectures to ensure the platform is modular, maintainable, and evolvable.Applying DevOps/SRE best practices to ensure the platform is reliable and performant.Seeking opportunities to continuously optimize the developer experience and reduce cognitive load by simplifying complex processes and abstractions.Mentoring and providing technical leadership to junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.Participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with the broader Zoom ecosystem.What we’re looking for5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on platform engineering and cloud infrastructure.Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform), understanding of infrastructure automation principles, and exceptional programming skills in Python.Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).Ability to participate in on-call shifts and incident management and work after hours/weekends for application releases/deployments.Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.Expertise in designing and building internal platforms and tools that enable efficient operations and development workflows.Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for cloud infrastructure.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in an iterative environment.Salary Range or On Target Earnings:Minimum: $94,600.00Maximum: $218,700.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus, and equity value.Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.At Zoom, we offer a window of at least 5 days for you to apply because we believe in giving you every opportunity.
