This position will lead the Global Sales organization for AMETEK LMS and drive sales towards end-users, OEMs, Distributors, and Representatives regarding the range of Magnetrol, Orion, Drexelbrook, B/W Controls, and SWI level measurement products. This role will work cross-functionally to support current customers and drive growth through new business development.Responsibilities:
Grow AMETEK LMS sales both domestically and internationally.Increase Revenues & Profit through improvements to the Sales Channels / go-to-market strategies, rationalization of Product Offering, and high focus on profitability.Direct sales forecasting activities, ensure communication to the appropriate colleagues, and set performance goals.Meet with key accounts, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.Create and follow an annual strategy for the global Sales organization.Develop and implement strategic sales plans in concert with Corporate / Divisional / BU goals.Manage and direct the global sales force.Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and implement the desired sales focus / strategy.Establish a culture in the sales organization that is results-focused.Train, coach, and motivate the sales team to effectively implement the desired selling process to displace competition from target accounts to meet the sales and profitability growth objectives.Provide information to the DVP / BU Manager concerning the operations of the outside sales force/sales management.Provide information on significant problems and opportunities regarding product, market, technology, and business position.Partner with peer functions (Marketing / Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Engineering) to achieve profitable sales.Requirements:
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.Minimum Years of Work Experience:
10 years.Knowledge/Skills:
Proven experience in successful management of global sales workforce.Results-oriented with a demonstrated track record of growing profitable sales & landing new, large accounts.Experience selling through multiple sales channels (direct, OEMs, Distributors, Representatives).Proven track record of effective sales team management, including measuring Sales team productivity through monthly metrics and dashboards.Comfort/savvy with metrics and sales analysis tools, etc. in both Excel and more dedicated tools.Ability to engage the team with relevant and useful KPIs.Successfully implement complex commission plans, which can be tied directly to business sales and profit growth.Able to see “big picture” both across and within territories to provide effective leadership to the Sales team.Track record of growth in previous assignments.Experience in fully utilizing a CRM system (SalesForce) towards a sales team, while making sure info flows back to the rest of the organization, where relevant.Experience in driving cultural change e.g. from Private to Public owned.Experience selling electrical, instrumentation, and controls solutions to the Chemicals, Food & Beverages, Water Treatment, Oil & Gas, Power, and/or other process industrial segments.Compensation:
